Geneseo, NY – July 11 & 12, 2026 – The wait is over. The Greatest Show on Turf is back—bigger, bolder, and more meaningful than ever. This year, we proudly present Wings of Victory: Reunion & Remembrance, a powerful tribute to the moment America’s heroes came home and peace returned at the end of World War II.
The end of WWII wasn’t just a victory—it was a heartbeat felt across the world. It was families reunited, communities celebrating, and a nation exhaling after years of sacrifice and uncertainty. At the 2026 Geneseo Airshow, we bring those emotions to life in the skies over the National Warplane Museum, honoring the courage that carried a generation through war—and the joy that awaited their journey home.
Through historic reenactments and immersive storytelling, guests will witness the evolution of WWII aviation and the road to victory it paved. The elegant sweep of early-war biplanes honors those who first took to the skies in defense of freedom. The unmistakable roar of the P-51 Mustang recalls air superiority fought for and won. The iconic B-25 bomber reflects daring raids deep into enemy territory, while the legendary B-17 Flying Fortress, Sentimental Journey, offers a rare glimpse of one of WWII’s most celebrated bombers. The steadfast C-47—our very own “Whiskey 7” among them—tells the story of the aircraft that carried troops, supplies, and, ultimately, America’s heroes back to their families. And joining the historic lineup, the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team brings modern aerial excellence, bridging past and present with speed, precision, and jaw-dropping maneuvers. Each aircraft you’ll see isn’t just a machine—it’s a chapter of history. A testament to bravery. A reminder of sacrifice. A symbol of every life changed by war and every homecoming that reshaped the future.
Set against Geneseo’s legendary grass runways, you’ll be transported back to a moment when the Greatest Generation returned home to parades, music, and celebration. With the rumble of warbirds overhead, historic vehicles on the ground, and the sounds of classic big band music filling the air, the experience is both nostalgic and deeply moving. It is remembrance wrapped in joy—a celebration of victory and an honor to those who never made the journey back.
