You are invited to a culinary and cultural experience unlike any other—the Wilmington Whiskey Club’s Burns Supper, a celebration steeped in Scottish tradition.
What Is a Burns Supper?
Burns Night, celebrated every year on January 25th in Scotland, honors the life and legacy of poet Robert Burns. A traditional Burns Supper features haggis, neeps, and tatties, accompanied by poetry readings, music, spirited toasts, and often ends with a heartfelt communal singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
Our event embraces these traditions—elevated with modern culinary craft and an exceptional whisky experience.
Why Attend Our Burns Supper?
Chef Robbie Jester brings his culinary mastery to a full three-course Scottish-inspired menu. Known for creating dishes that surprise and delight, Robbie doesn’t just make haggis edible—he makes you finish your plate.
The evening begins with the stirring sound of traditional bagpipes, followed by local Scotsman Andrew Menzies, who will guide us through the spirit and storytelling of Robert Burns with select poems, recitations, and Scottish lore.
Between these recitations, Jared Card will lead a whisky tasting journey across Scotland, showcasing the distinct flavor profiles from five different regions. While final selections are based on availability, we plan to feature expressions such as:
Lochlea
Kilchoman
GlenAllachie
Nc’Nean
Isle of Raasay
A complete whisky list will be announced closer to the event date.
Join us for a night filled with poetry, tradition, storytelling, cuisine, and exceptional Scotch—an immersive celebration of Scottish culture that you won’t want to miss.
