2026 Cheshire Races
Join us for the 79th Running of the Cheshire Races! This
annual community tradition will be held at Plantation Field in the rolling
hills of Chester County, Pennsylvania. Join us to celebrate Open Space and
experience the adrenaline rush of timber racing. Whether you're a horse
enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out, this event is perfect for
everyone. The event runs rain or shine, so dress appropriately!
This year we are honoring the first generation of Joint
Masters of Mr. Stewart's Cheshire Foxhounds: Russell Jones, F. Bruce Miller,
and Nina Stewart. We will be commemorating their legacy and impact on today's
Cheshire Hunt throughout the weekend. Saturday evening kicks off the
festivities with the Cheshire Races Cocktail Party & Live Auction, held at
Ben Barnett and Missy Shaffer's stunning Laurel Hill Farm. Sunday will be an
action-packed Race Day, with a full card of Pony Races, including the crowd-favorite
Leadline Race, a parade of Mr. Stewart's Cheshire Foxhounds, 3 NSA Sanctioned
Timber Races, a Side-Saddle Race, and more! All attendees have access to the
Partners in Preservation hospitality tent, generously hosted by the Brandywine
Conservancy.
We have a variety of Sponsorship and Entry options, from
General Admission up to Title Sponsorships, so contact us to get involved! For
our popular tailgating packages, we are again offering Finish Line and Cheshire
Crest along the west end of the hillside with great views of the course. Don't
delay in reserving your spot today!
Mark your calendars and get ready for an
unforgettable day at the 2026 Cheshire Races!
Thank You to This Year's Sponsors
